Payment Policy
This Payment Policy governs in a complete and detailed manner the payment methods accepted by Bagotica and is drafted in accordance with applicable Italian and European legislation, including provisions on payment services, fraud prevention and consumer protection.

1. Scope
This Policy applies to all purchases made through Bagotica’s channels, including the website, the checkout process and direct communications with Customers.
Bagotica operates exclusively within the European Union.
Payments are accepted solely from Customers resident or domiciled within the European Union.
2. Currency
All payments must be made exclusively in Euro (EUR).
Any currency conversion fees applied by the Customer’s bank or payment service provider shall be borne exclusively by the Customer.
3. Accepted payment methods
Bagotica accepts exclusively the following payment methods:
- SEPA bank transfer;
- PayPal, limited to accounts registered within the European Union;
- Cards and payment links via Stripe, exclusively for payment instruments issued within the European Union.
Payments originating from accounts, cards or payment instruments issued outside the European Union are not accepted.
4. SEPA bank transfer (checkout reservation)
Where the Customer selects SEPA bank transfer as the payment method during checkout, the order shall automatically be placed in “reserved” status.
The Customer will receive an automatic communication containing the payment instructions, including:

- Payment reference: order number
The order shall remain reserved until payment is received.
Bagotica reserves the right to cancel the reservation if payment by bank transfer is not received within three (3) business days from the order confirmation date.
Upon expiration of such period without receipt of the due amount, the reservation shall be automatically cancelled and the product may be made available for sale again, without any further obligation on the part of Bagotica.
5. Bank transfer fees
Bagotica does not apply any fees for payments made via bank transfer.
Any fees applied by the Customer’s bank shall remain the Customer’s responsibility.
6. PayPal and Stripe payments
Payments made via PayPal or Stripe are subject to the fees applied by the respective payment service providers.
Such fees are determined, retained and managed directly by the providers and not by Bagotica.
Indicatively:
- PayPal applies an average fee of approximately 3.5% of the transaction amount;
- Stripe applies an average fee of approximately 3.5% of the transaction amount.
These fees are non-refundable under any circumstances, including in the event of a return or refund, as they are retained directly by the payment service providers.
7. Payments via payment links
Where a Customer requests a personalized payment link outside the standard checkout process, Bagotica reserves the right to carry out a preliminary identity verification of the payer.
For this purpose, the Customer may be required to provide:
- a valid identification document;
- personal details consistent with the payment method used.
Bagotica will verify consistency between:
- the payment method holder’s name;
- the identification document provided;
- the country of issuance of the payment method;
- the billing and/or delivery address indicated by the Customer.
In the event of inconsistencies, suspected fraud or failure to provide the requested documentation, Bagotica reserves the right not to issue the payment link or to cancel the transaction.
Any data or documents provided shall be used exclusively for fraud prevention and payment dispute management purposes, in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
8. Payment confirmation
Orders are deemed confirmed only upon receipt of full payment and confirmation by Bagotica.
Until such confirmation, Bagotica is not required to definitively reserve the product nor to initiate any shipping procedure.
9. Refunds and payment provider fees
Where a refund is granted, Bagotica will, where technically feasible, issue the refund using the same payment method originally used by the Customer.
Payment service provider fees applied both at the time of the original transaction and during the refund process are non-refundable.
Where issuing a refund through the same payment method would result in additional fees, Bagotica reserves the right to propose a refund via bank transfer in order to avoid such additional costs.
10. Refusal, suspension or cancellation of payments
Bagotica reserves the right to refuse, suspend or cancel a transaction where:
- the payment method does not comply with this Policy;
- payer data is incomplete or inconsistent;
- fraud or unauthorized use is suspected;
- identity verification is unsuccessful.
